Making a great apple pie is not as hard as it seems! Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Refrigerate the dough for at least half an hour. Meanwhile, peel, core, and slice your apples. Use a combination of tart and sweet apples for the best flavor. In a large bowl, combine the apples, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Roll out the dough into a circle and place it in a greased pie dish. Fill the dish with the apple mixture, then top it with another circle of dough. Crimp the edges of the dough together and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape. Bake the pie for 45 minutes and allow it to cool before serving.
