Minestrone

Minestrone soup is believed to have originated in the 15th century in the city of Florence. At that time, the soup was made with only a few ingredients, such as beans, onions, and cabbage. Over the years, the soup has evolved and now includes a variety of vegetables and sometimes even meat.
The word minestrone comes from the Italian word minestra, which means soup. The word minestrone first appeared in print in the 18th century, and the first known recipe for the soup was published in 1790.
