Tikki
Tikki is a Hindi word meaning "cutlet" or "patty". The term is used in Indian and Pakistani cuisine to describe a fried snack or appetizer. There are many different types of tikki, each with its own unique flavor and ingredients.
The most popular tikki recipe is probably the aloo tikki, which is a potato patty typically served with chutney or yogurt. Other popular tikki recipes include paneer tikki (fried cottage cheese patties), matar tikki (pea patties), and chicken tikki (chicken patties).
The origin of tikki is unknown, but it is thought to have originated in the Indian subcontinent. The first written record of the word "tikki" dates back to 1876, in a cookbook called Khana Khazana by Muhammad bin Khair-ul-Wazeer.
